New Delhi, Nov 7 : Often people faces trouble sleeping now and then. Insomnia or night walking is a problem for you? Read on our tested ways that ensure you get a good night sleep.

# Set your regular alarm for 7am. Getting same time each day will make you sleep on right time, this can manage your schedule wisely.

# Avoid putting colourful lights in bedroom and also avoid TV and laptops, smartphone or tablet use an hour before going to bed.

# Make a daily routine of drinking milky drinks before going to bed. The calcium in milk helps your body to process tryptophan and relaxes your mind.

# Daily workout is important for health in all perspectives. The best time for workout is between 4pm-7pm.

# Place your wall clock or alarm clock away from you or at the position where your sight cannot reach while sleeping. This won’t make you anxious to being a stop watcher.

# Take a warm water bath this will help you to relax. Add some lavender oil to reduce stress and promote relaxation.

# Your room temperature should be around 65 degrees Fahrenheit (18 degrees Celsius). # Use earbuds to avoid the outside noises.

# Buy new balanced mattresses that are not too soft and not too hard.

# Don’t drink tea, cold drinks or coffee after 2pm. Caffeine won’t let you sleep because it works even after 6 hours you have inhaled it.

# Alcohol helps you in sleeping but results in poorer quality sleep.

# Don’t smoke before going to bed, this will make your sleep disturbing.

# Before you resort to sleeping tablets, try a herbal remedy. Valerian is widely used for insomnia and most effective if taken over a few weeks.

# Listen some good relaxing music, meditate or do gentle yoga before going to bed.

# Before going to sleep write down your problems on a paper or record them.

# Don’t use bright light night bulbs while sleeping.

# Eat Banana, it contain tryptophan which stimulates the production of melatonin and serotonin in the brain.

# Think of some fantasy and read spiritual books or comics.

# Flush all your next morning worries and sleep calm.

# Regularly eat breakfast within an hour of waking up.
